Responsibilities include managing insurance eligibility, collecting co-pays, and coordinating patient visits while adhering to Lean processes. Remote work possible within commutable distance; full-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
• 1+ years of customer service in a clinical setting.
• 1+ years of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
• Must live within commutable distance to Worcester, MA area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work full time (40 hours/week), Mon-Fri during 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; overtime possible.
• Preferred: EPIC experience; basic MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Verifies, re-verifies and authorizes patient insurance coverage and eligibility using the registration/scheduling system.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Notifies and collects patient co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Handles patient-care calls via an incoming work queue and adheres to department metrics.
• Communicates scheduling changes to patients and providers.
• Schedules patient visits and procedures for inpatients and outpatients; informs patients of details.
• Supports training and maintains schedules; performs other duties as assigned.
