Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Access Scheduler for the PCMG-MAIN/Access Schedulers team.

This telecommuting role supports scheduling patient appointments across divisions, handles incoming calls, and initiates billing data entry in accordance with procedures. The position requires strong customer service, familiarity with scheduling software, and the ability to maintain accuracy in patient data and insurance information.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in scheduling/billing of procedures.
• Strong skills in computer database systems.
• Follow any payer or governmental requirement as required by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones in a timely and professional manner and notifies referring office of patient appointment day, time and location.
• Schedules patient examinations for all modalities, cancels and/or reschedules appointments as necessary, and corrects or modifies discrepancies in scheduling; scheduling modalities.
• Participates in a variety of unit and hospital education programs to maintain current skills and competency levels.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
