The University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Patient Scheduler in the Department of Psychiatry to coordinate patient appointments for the TCHATT program, which supports telemedicine in Central Texas schools. The role requires collaborating with clinicians and clinical staff to optimize patient flow and ensure timely access to mental health services.

The position is 40 hours per week, with a schedule primarily between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Formación

• Requires a High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 year(s) of experience in a similar role.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 2 year(s) of experience in a medical, mental health, educational, or other related setting.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate with behavioral health providers and clinical support staff to ensure availability.
• Manage and prioritize appointment requests based on urgency.
• Communicate with patients, guardians, and referring entities regarding appointment details.
• Complete appointment confirmation calls and assist with rescheduling as needed.
• Support families by phone, email, or during clinical visits with forms and access to telehealth services.
• Respond to inquiries from patients, guardians, and referring entities in a timely manner.
• Provide information about clinical services and processes.
• Gather information and forms to create client charts in the EHR and maintain records.
