Job summary

Oceans Healthcare seeks a Quality and Patient Safety Analyst to review video footage of high-risk events and support root cause analysis. The role partners with Risk Management, Security, Nursing Operations, Clinical Leadership, and HR to drive safety improvements.

Primary duties include investigations, reporting, and proactive surveillance to reduce patient and staff harm. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, attention to detail, and experience with HIPAA and incident reviews,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year inpatient psychiatric experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and critical thinking to analyze incidents.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables.

Responsibilities

• Conduct video-based investigations of serious patient safety events and security incidents.
• Analyze footage and related documents to build event timelines and findings.
• Correlate video findings with medical and incident reports.
• Provide objective observations to support RCAs and risk assessments.
• Identify process failures and hazards contributing to adverse events.
• Prepare concise investigative reports for leadership and safety committees.
• Perform proactive surveillance to identify safety risks and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze trends across incidents to guide risk-reduction strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure retention of video evidence per HIPAA.
• Collaborate with Security, Quality, Risk Management, Legal and HR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
