Qualifications

• HD/GED required.
• 1 year of patient care experience.
• Able to monitor multiple patients continuously.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong critical thinking.
• Decisive judgment.
• Able to work independently while maintaining accuracy and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to use de-escalation techniques.
• Calm, courteous verbal communication under stress.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Maintains continuous visual observation of multiple patients using monitoring software.
• Identify behaviors that could harm patients and provide verbal redirection via digital audio in rooms.
• Communicate needs to nursing staff based on patient needs.
• Provide shift handoffs to virtual monitoring attendants and nursing staff.
• Share timely information with floor staff when patients pose a threat.
• Collaborate to identify and report patient safety issues.
• Ensure the patient environment is safe and identify safety hazards.
• Explain information to patients while preserving dignity and privacy.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
