Qualifications

• Three years of experience in healthcare billing, patient financial services, medical collections, or medical front-office operations.
• Experience with financial assistance/charity care programs preferred.
• Experience with EHR and billing systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review financial assistance applications and verify eligibility against policy.
• Approve sliding scale discounts and adjust balances in billing system.
• Establish and monitor patient payment plans to satisfy balances.
• Communicate with patients via phone, email, and portal message about eligibility and plans.
• Maintain documentation of applications, approvals, and payment plans in the system.
