Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks a patient account representative to support the healthcare billing call center. You will communicate with patients, colleagues, providers, system operational staff, supervisors, and managers to resolve questions and collect payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of Call Center experience.
• One year of billing and coding experience.
• Six months of remote work experience.
• Ability to interpret insurance billing processes (primary, secondary, co-insurance, deductibles, co-pays).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to guide patients through online payment methods.
• Strong communication skills with patients, colleagues, providers and management.
• Ability to remain calm and de-escalate callers as needed.
