Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Patient Financial Representative in Largo, FL to manage patient accounts, billing, collections, and posting payments. This full-time role requires strong customer service and communication skills to resolve balances while ensuring compliance with policies.

Remote work is available for Florida residents with quarterly onsite meetings; typical schedule is days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Prior accounts receivable or Medicare experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Accounts Receivable and Medicare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient accounts and perform billing and collection activities.
• Post and reconcile payments and cash applications.
• Document account activity and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding balances, payments, and insurance.
• Review EOBs and payer responses and follow up as needed.
• Implement billing guideline changes and identify payer trends.
• Maintain operational reports, inventories, and equipment tracking.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
