Job summary

Abax Health is seeking a Patient Access Concierge to independently manage patient access activities, including registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and prior authorizations, with minimal oversight. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for patients and providers, resolve complex insurance and scheduling issues, and help improve workflows while working remotely from a U.S.

based location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–4 years of Patient Access or related healthcare experience required.
• Ability to independently verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations.
• Experience resolving moderately complex access issues with minimal guidance.
• Experience using Cerner EMR is required.
• Working knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid plans.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based healthcare applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect, verify, and maintain patient demographics, insurance, and clinical information.
• Verify eligibility, benefits, referrals, and prior authorizations across payer types.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments following guidelines.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in all systems.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and client requirements.
• Meet productivity, quality, attendance, and service metrics; assist with onboarding of new team members.
