Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Field-based Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies. This role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to drive timely access to therapies in a collaborative field setting.

The PAL role emphasizes assisting with prior authorization, coding and billing education, and patient HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent for level-5/6 indicates advanced clinical or research credentials.
• Experience in patient services, access and reimbursement is required or preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for payer navigation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and regulatory requirements is expected.
• Proficiency with common software and CRM systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance benefits and prior authorization requirements.
• Educate staff on coverage considerations, coding, and billing practices relevant to therapy access.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, and Site of Care teams.
