Job summary

Family Care Center is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage outpatient registration for behavioral health services. You will document demographics, schedule appointments, and support patients and providers in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Health Administration or related field preferred.
• One year customer service or call center experience required with emphasis in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance or medical billing preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Continually required to sit, stand or walk as needed; moderate to loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Handles a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls and fosters a positive patient experience.
• Accurately documents patient information into the electronic health record system.
• Schedules appointments based on intake assessments and provider matrix.
• Engages in outreach activities including emails and follow-up calls.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, internal and external customers.
• Meets department metrics and quality goals.
