Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Professional Practice Pathology Coder to code clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for pathology services, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines. The role involves reviewing medical records and maintaining daily production and quality targets while supporting remote work.

Required are two years of healthcare coding experience in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and certifications such as CPC, CCS, CPMA, COC, RHIT or RHIA.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years health care coding experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Experience with automated patient care and coding systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code clinical documentation to capture accurate disease burden using ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for pathology services.
• Perform Anatomic and Clinical Pathology coding while meeting daily production and quality goals.
