Job summary

TalkNY Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations on a part-time, remote basis. This role focuses on Accounts Payable within a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, managing AP aging, preparing payment listings, and assisting with month-end close, reconciliations, and billing support. The ideal candidate works independently with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Understanding of month-end close and basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely with proper coding.
• Manage vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly ACH and wire payment listings.
• Support month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records and assist audits.
