Job summary

ai Educational Project (aiEDU) is seeking an experienced engineer to build the technical foundation for our external-facing products. This part-time role focuses on quality, security, and scalable infrastructure in a remote, U.S.-based setting.

You will work with PMs, Sr. Lead of Data & Impact, and VP of Operations to define standards, own security posture, and guide the team toward responsible AI-assisted development while maintaining high quality and security.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering with backend, infra and security focus.
• Full-stack capability to production-grade web apps from prototypes.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience securing production databases and hosting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure external-facing products meet reliability, accessibility, error handling, performance and security standards.
• Define release criteria and review changes to production systems before launch.
• Build reusable infrastructure templates and setup monitoring, alerts and backups.
• Advise on features to ship or retire, and track launched items.
