The role builds aiEDU's external-facing product foundation, sets up launch infrastructure and monitoring, and enforces robust security and data practices. It offers flexible remote work across the U.S. at $150/hour for up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience with backend and infrastructure security expertise.
• Fluent in full‑stack development and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Build the technical foundation for aiEDU's external-facing products and collaborate with PMs and data lead.
• Set up infrastructure, monitoring, and alerts for new launches and manage feature lifecycle.
• Serve as first responder for security incidents and establish robust security and data practices.
• Ensure product quality through code reviews, standards setting, and production readiness checks.
• Audit and harden security across databases/hosting platforms and own credential management.
• Write documentation and runbooks for non-engineers and raise the team's technical capability.
