Job summary

Saenz-Garcia Law, PLLC is seeking a part-time Payroll Clerk to support our Finance team in a remote setting. You will review timekeeping data, process semi-monthly payroll in Paylocity, and administer deductions, garnishments, and benefits.

The role includes handling international contractor payments and ensuring compliance with payroll laws across jurisdictions. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of payroll or clerical accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Paylocity

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred.
• Two to three years payroll, timekeeping, or general clerical accounting experience required.
• Experience with Paylocity HR & Payroll including time-and-labor modules desired.
• Knowledge of payroll concepts: overtime, deductions, garnishments; multi-state payroll.
• Strong data entry, accuracy, and ability to meet pay-cycle deadlines.
• Experience with 401(k) plan admin and contractor payments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review timecard data in Paylocity for completeness and supervisor approval.
• Audit timecards, approve hours and resolve discrepancies.
• Process semi-monthly payroll runs for hourly and salaried employees.
• Handle off-cycle payments: bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, manual checks.
• Administer payroll deductions, direct deposits, taxes, and benefits.
• Process international payments via Wise and Payoneer; manage contractor tax docs.
• Reconcile payroll registers and assist with month-end close and GL postings.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee payroll information.
