Job summary

Regis University is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations for faculty, staff, student workers and adjuncts in Workday Payroll. The role supports multi-cycle processing, governance, and compliance, operating as a working manager in a higher education setting.

This .5 FTE position offers up to 2 days of remote work. You will lead a small payroll team, develop SOPs, partner with HR and IT to resolve issues, ensure tax compliance, and design comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive payroll management experience.
• Experience with Workday Payroll (configuration, processing, reporting).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and FLSA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee semi-monthly/monthly multi-cycle payrolls for all employee groups in Workday.
• Serve as final escalation point for payroll discrepancies and tax inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR and IT to resolve integration issues between Workday HR and Payroll.
• Ensure compliance with higher education pay practices and regulations.
• Lead payroll team, establish SOPs and quality checks.
• Design and deliver Workday payroll training for campus users.
