National Fire Experts in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a Part-Time Fire Investigator to study fire/explosion scenes, determine causes, and prepare concise written reports. You may travel within a 100-mile radius, interact with clients, and provide expert testimony when needed.

The role emphasizes field investigations, documentation, and flexible scheduling with remote work possibilities and a strong focus on professional development and client service.

Qualifications

• CFEI or CFI certification required / preferred.
• Private Investigator License within 60 days if applicable.
• Familiarity with NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033 standards.
• Experience providing expert testimony or depositions is valued.
• Strong report writing and investigative documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely field visits to loss sites for cause and origin investigations.
• Provide honest, unbiased analysis and consultation on fires and explosions.
• Perform field studies and daily research; write detailed reports on investigations.
• Travel within a 100-mile radius from the assigned office; occasional overnight travel.
• Interact with clients and handle confidential information professionally.
• Communicate project timelines and updates to customers regularly.
• Offer expert testimony/depositions when required; adapt schedule to peak periods.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
