Job summary

BorderLight Theatre Festival seeks a Development Manager to grow its fundraising program. This part-time independent contractor role works 15 hours per week, collaborating with the Executive & Artistic Director, staff, and board members.

The candidate will manage campaigns, coordinate donor communications, and research grant opportunities to advance BorderLight's mission in Greater Cleveland. Remote work with occasional in-person events is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of nonprofit development or donor relations experience.
• Experience with grants, fundraising campaigns, corporate sponsorships, major gifts, or events.
• Strong writing and communication skills; grant writing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day development strategies as directed by leadership.
• Oversee fundraising campaigns and events with timelines and deliverables.
• Compose personalized donor communications and sponsorship materials.
• Steward donors and sponsors, ensuring recognition and benefits.
• Research and track grant opportunities aligned with BorderLight's priorities.
• Write select grant proposals and support the grant process.
