Job summary

Portland Area Theatre Alliance seeks a Program Director (Part-Time) to lead and manage the organizations programs, operations, communications, and administration from a primarily remote base in Maine.

The role involves coordinating auditions, workshops, fundraising, grant management, and outreach, while collaborating with the Board, volunteers, and partners to advance the mission with a flexible schedule and occasional in-person events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in arts/nonprofit administration.
• Three to five years of nonprofit/arts program management experience.
• Strong organization, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, Mailchimp, and nonprofit systems.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing program planning and implementation, including auditions, educational workshops, and community engagement.
• Managing organizational operations such as member services, technology systems, board support, financial administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Leading fundraising and grant management efforts, coordinating marketing and communications, and supervising communications support to maintain consistent outreach and branding.
