Job summary

MCHAP Chaplain services are engaged on a part-time basis to support company employees and their families through faith-based spiritual care. Chaplains visit worksites, provide confidential discussions, and coordinate with leadership to address personal and family issues with compassion.

Responsibilities include regular visits, crisis support, and funeral planning assistance, while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to ministry values across diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, interfaith setting.
• Effective listening and client interaction skills under stress.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian ministry values.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courteous professional conduct with diverse groups.
• Strong written and oral communication, and confidentiality.
• Ability to analyze information and follow up on objectives.
• Comfort with technology and basic software usage.
• Active state driver’s license and auto insurance where servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions and referrals for employees and families.
• May assist in planning or attending funerals and deliver follow-up support.
• Represents ministry services to employees and coordinates with company leadership.
• Participates in new employee orientation to explain Employee Care Service.
