Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc. is seeking a Paralegal to support its intellectual property portfolio and corporate governance activities for the Americas.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, in-house attorneys, and outside counsel to keep deadlines, documents, and approvals on track. Whether your strengths are in intellectual property or corporate governance, this role offers the opportunity to build expertise across both areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• 5+ years of direct experience in patent and trademark docketing or corporate governance.
• Knowledge of IP administration or corporate governance with willingness to learn more areas.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; can manage deadlines and keep accurate tracking.
• Ability to research issues, identify relevant information, and offer practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international patent and trademark docketing, tracking progress, deadlines, and maintenance fees.
• Coordinate filings and prosecutions with employees, in-house attorneys, and outside counsel.
• Maintain IP portfolio records and help budget filing and maintenance costs.
• Prepare and circulate board, shareholder, and committee documents and materials.
• Maintain corporate records, organizational charts, officer and director lists, policies, and delegation‑of‑authority docs across entities.
• Assist with audits, entity formations/dissolutions, and governance filings.
• Support contracts lifecycle, board onboarding, and other legal team projects.
