Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Group is seeking a Paralegal to support its intellectual property portfolio and corporate governance across the Americas. This remote role collaborates with in-house attorneys, business stakeholders, and outside counsel to keep deadlines, documents, and approvals on track.

You will manage IP docketing, maintain corporate records, prepare board materials, and assist with audits, entity formations, and governance filings while learning across IP and governance disciplines.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• 5+ years of direct experience in patent and trademark docketing or corporate governance.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, including the ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain tracking systems.
• Ability to research issues, identify relevant information, and develop practical solutions with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international patent and trademark docketing, tracking application progress and deadlines.
• Coordinate patent and trademark filings and prosecution matters with employees, in-house attorneys, and outside counsel.
• Maintain IP portfolio records and help develop budgets for filing and maintaining patents and trademarks.
• Prepare and circulate board, shareholder, and committee resolutions, meeting minutes, and materials with templates and attorney guidance.
• Maintain corporate records, organizational charts, officer and director lists, and governance filings across entities.
