Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc. is seeking a Paralegal to support IP docketing and corporate governance for MCG companies in the Americas. This remote role collaborates with in-house attorneys and outside counsel to meet deadlines and manage records.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of direct docketing or governance experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong organizational skills. Comfortable with legal technology and AI tools, with a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years in patent/trademark docketing or corporate governance.
• Experience administering IP portfolios or governance processes is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines, track information accurately, and handle confidential data.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills with guidance as needed.
• Clear communication with colleagues, attorneys, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage patent and trademark docketing domestically and internationally.
• Coordinate filings and prosecution with in-house and outside counsel.
• Maintain IP portfolio records and assist budgeting for filings.
• Prepare board/shareholder resolutions and meeting materials.
• Coordinate approvals, signatures, and filings.
• Maintain corporate records, org charts, and governance documentation.
• Track annual report filings and registrations across entities.
• Support audits, records requests, formations, dissolutions, and restructurings.
• Assist with contract lifecycle management and board onboarding.
