Atticus is seeking a Paralegal to help disabled Americans access disability benefits and insurance compensation. The role blends traditional paralegal duties—client relationships, caseload management, and collaboration with attorneys—with startup-driven work like sourcing clients for testimonials and testing new tools.

• Experience in a professional role requiring substantial client-facing work (e.g., case manager or paralegal).
• Resourceful team-player ready to thrive in a scrappy startup environment and learn quickly.
• Ability to converse empathetically and clearly with people in crisis while coordinating with attorneys.

Responsabilités

• Interview clients, analyze medical records, and draft memos arguing why the SSA should consider them disabled.
• Collaborate with a client’s local representative to obtain missing SSA paperwork.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks, scope improvements, gain team buy-in, and implement changes.
