Job summary

FCUSD invites applications for a Paraeducator Moderate/Severe to support students with disabilities in a virtual setting. The role involves assisting with instruction, life skills development, and record keeping under supervision, with emphasis on safety and student well-being.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent; additional training in psychology or behavior modification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; courses in psychology, behavior modification desirable but not required.
• Experience: Prefer experience in the care of children with learning disabilities and/or emotional disturbances. Training in crisis intervention is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with severe disabilities to meet physical and emotional requirements throughout the instructional day under supervision of a administrator and classroom teacher.
• Assist with record keeping and perform instructional support duties in developing life skills and/or physical care activities.
• Work may be performed away from the teacher, but the teacher retains responsibility for instruction and supervision.
