LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Work at Home Bilingual Papiamento-English Phone Interpreter to support clients nationwide from a quiet, secure home office. As an independent contractor, you render spoken interpretation between Papiamento and English, serving healthcare, government, finance and other industries.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Papiamento and English with cultural understanding.
• Strong listening, retention and note-taking for accuracy.
• Ability to stay neutral and objective on calls, including sensitive topics.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be 18+ and legally allowed to work in the United States.
• No visa sponsorship required for employment in the US.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a professional manner.
• Render correct concepts according to interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professional demeanor during sessions.
• Remain calm in emergencies (e.g., 911 calls).
• Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet expectations.
• Understand industry protocol for Medical, Insurance, Finance, Law.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Handle highly emotional calls and long sessions when needed.
