LanguageLine Solutions LLC is hiring a Work at Home Bilingual Plautdietsch-English Phone Interpreter. This remote independent contractor position pays by minute and requires fluency in Plautdietsch and English, with the ability to work from a quiet home office in the United States.

The interpreter handles on-demand calls across industries such as healthcare, government, insurance, finance and law enforcement, rendering meaning in real time.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Plautdietsch and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
• Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences to communicate with LEP.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills for high interpretation accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render correct concepts per interpretation protocol; avoid omissions/additions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
• Maintain professional demeanor throughout sessions.
• Remain calm during sessions, including emergency situations such as 911 calls.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet expectations with LEP.
• Understand protocol across Medical, Insurance, Finance and Law sectors.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Handle highly emotional/call-heavy sessions with company standards.
