Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is hiring as a remote contractor for Ilocano-English phone interpretation. The role focuses on on-demand interpretation across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, and more, from a home office in the United States.

Responsibilities include real-time interpretation, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining professional conduct during emotional or high-volume calls. Eligible applicants must be 18+, have work authorization in the US, and possess a high school diploma

Qualifications

• Fluent in Ilocano and English with strong cultural awareness.
• Able to assess regional/accent differences for LEP communication.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking for accurate interpretation.
• Must be 18+, legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render concepts according to interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professionalism and composure on calls, including emergencies.
• Remain punctual and available during work hours.
• Follow client instructions and ensure LEP interactions with permission.
• Understand protocol for Medical, Insurance, Finance, Law industries.
• Handle highly emotional or long calls when required.
