Job summary

Slalom is seeking a hands-on P&C Insurance Product Manager to translate insurance business needs into technology-enabled product capabilities. You will partner with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize development, and bring new products and features to market.

The ideal candidate combines strong P&C knowledge with practical technology product management experience and thrives in a small, fast-moving cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Property & Casualty insurance domain knowledge.
• Experience as a product owner/manager in a tech environment.
• Experience bringing new products or features to market.
• Hands-on with PRDs, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria.
• Experience managing product backlogs and prioritizing features by value.
• Proven ability to work with software engineering teams.
• Ability to translate complex insurance needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Comfort with ownership in a small, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Translate P&C insurance needs into product requirements and capabilities.
• Develop PRDs, specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs.
• Partner with engineering throughout design, development, testing, and release.
• Own discovery, prioritization, roadmap inputs, and release planning.
• Evaluate trade-offs and align stakeholders on scope and priorities.
• Support launches and ongoing improvement of new tech products and features.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, insurance SMEs, and business leaders.
• Apply AI-enabled or spec-driven development practices where appropriate.
