Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, a nationally recognized cancer research and treatment center based in Seattle, is seeking a Coding Specialist for a remote role. You will apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes and modifiers, ensuring accuracy for outpatient facility documentation to support reimbursements and compliance.

The role requires 3+ years of OP facility coding, coding credentials, and strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and insurance plans.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years experience OP Facility Coding.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC and/or CCS-P credentials.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding conventions.
• Experience coding in outpatient facility settings.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply correct coding, regulatory and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy while meeting productivity metrics.
• Participate in staff discussions and provide input for team support.
