Job summary

Carolina Oncology Specialists is seeking a Certified Coding Specialist for a fully remote role serving U.S. clients. You will audit physician documentation for coding compliance, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for oncology services, and support CMS and payer guidelines.

Strong communication and accuracy are essential, with ability to work from a home office. Experience with EHR/EMR systems and encoder software, plus oncology coding expertise, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One of CPC, CCS, RHIT or RHIA with coding focus is required.
• Experience in oncology/hematology coding preferred.
• Experience with EHR/EMR and encoder software required.

Responsibilities

• Audit physician documentation for coding compliance.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for oncology services.
• Ensure CMS, OIG, and payer guidelines compliance.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and coordinate with providers.
