Datavant is seeking an experienced outpatient coder to join our remote team. The role focuses on accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures across hospital records, with emphasis on observation, injections/infusions, and same-day surgery.

Formación

• 2+ years of hospital coding experience or coding consulting experience.
• Proficiency with Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions, and E/M coding.
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and annual testing requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Review records and assign diagnoses/procedures codes.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and discharge disposition.
• Enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Identify documentation improvements and coding issues for follow-up.
• Maintain 95% accuracy and meet productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits and participate in trainings.
