Qualifications

• High school graduate with Health Information Technician/Management and/or Coding curriculum.
• Two years' experience in a Medical Record Department or related tasks.
• Ability to code accurately using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze outpatient medical records and code diagnoses and procedures.
• Verify nursing E/M levels in the ER and assist physicians to obtain information.
• Maintain medical record integrity and handle birth certificate distribution.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, patients, and guests regarding medical information.
