Qualifications

• 2 years working coding cert required.
• Online cert verification required with submission.
• 2-5 years relevant experience after coding cert obtained.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current and high-quality ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for outpatient diagnoses and procedures with 95%+ accuracy.
• Abstract data into Health EMR systems and verify patient dispositions and physician data.
• Collaborate with Admitting, Charging, patient financial services, HIM, and other departments to resolve denials and clarify documentation.
• Report to Regional Coding Manager and HIM/Coding leadership.
