Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification is REQUIRED.
• Experience coding Emergency Room cases is REQUIRED.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM is REQUIRED.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code Emergency Room (ER) cases with ICD-10-CM and PCS.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignment based on documentation.
• Review claims for medical necessity and code accuracy.
• Create compliant physician queries when needed.
• Maintain high productivity and quality standards.
