Job summary

Datavant, a healthcare data collaboration platform, seeks an experienced outpatient coder for a fully remote, part-time role (15–20 hours/week). You will review medical records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure coding accuracy while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Certified coding credentials (AHIMA or AAPC) required.
• 3+ years of hospital or coding consulting experience.
• Proficiency in ED, Injections/Infusions, Observation, Same Day Surgery coding.

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnoses and procedure codes.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and discharge disposition.
• Abstract data for hospital statistics and reporting.
