Job summary

CareMed Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Outbound Care Coordinator to join our remote team. This full-time role is based in Buffalo, NY with a 10:30am–7:00pm EST schedule, though the position is fully remote.

You will proactively call patients, schedule deliveries, collect co-pays, and coordinate medication shipments while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality customer service. Prior pharmacy technician experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pharmacy technician certification required; CPHT/PTCB desired.
• Must be registered with a Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Call patients to schedule/coordinate medication delivery and collect co-pays.
• Ensure continuity of care and timeliness of shipping orders.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone.
• Document patient interactions and escalate as needed to staff.
• Verify prescriptions billed in accordance with regulations.
