Optum Insight is hiring for a full-time remote role supporting patients across the United States. This position involves handling medication management tasks, coordinating with nurses and pharmacists, and ensuring timely communications with patients, pharmacies, and providers.

The role requires CMA or Pharmacy Tech certification and 2+ years of healthcare experience, with shifts 7:00 AM–7:00 PM EST. Benefits include comprehensive packages, stock options, and 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA or Medication Administration or Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 2+ years of healthcare experience.
• Must be able to work any 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient refill inquiries via phone and electronic messaging to determine administrative needs.
• Schedule patients for outpatient visits per protocols when applicable.
• Provide outstanding service to patients, pharmacies, and providers.
• Answer questions and complete requests from patients and staff.
• Refer and escalate to nurse or pharmacist as appropriate.
• Maintain documentation and logs accurately.
• Advise and support patients while protecting confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies in a courteous manner.
• Assist teammates and train less experienced staff when needed.
• Record time in the designated system as required by management.
