CareMed Specialty Pharmacy in Louisville, KY is seeking a Pharmacy Technician / Outbound Care Coordinator. This full-time, remote role helps coordinate delivery, collect co-pays, and support patients and providers while maintaining high standards of care.

You will ensure timely shipping, answer patient inquiries, document issues, and comply with Medicare and HIPAA requirements. A pharmacy tech certification and two years of experience are required; benefits include medical, 401k, PTO, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification required; PTCB preferred.
• Must be registered with Board of Pharmacy.
• HIPAA confidentiality and patient privacy must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all prescription work assigned; proactively calls patients to schedule/coordinate their medication delivery; collects co-payments; and performs related follow-up activities.
• Ensures continuity of care and timeliness of shipping orders.
• Provides excellent customer service over the phone by answering general patient inquiries and forwarding clinical inquiries to the Clinical Staff Pharmacists on duty.
• Uses discretion and independent judgment in handling patient complaints and documents incidents.
• Ensures prescriptions are billed in accordance with Medicare/DMEPOS regulations and properly documented.
• Communicates with supervisors and patients about care or needs.
