Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an OSP Engineer to design and upgrade Outside Plant telephony networks, supporting decommissioning of a retiring TDM switch. Remote work options are available with occasional on-site coordination in Halethorpe, Maryland.

The role requires experience with OSP practices, familiarity with Telcordia, LEIS, and Tirks, plus CAD and MS Excel/Access proficiency. Strong communication skills and multi-project management are valued.

Qualifications

• Former experience with the specified client is required.
• Strong knowledge of telecom Outside Plant engineering practices and systems such as Telcordia LFACs, Switch, LEIS, and Tirks, with emphasis on Tirks.
• Experience with CAD programs and high proficiency with MS Excel and/or MS Access.

Responsibilities

• Design additions, upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant electronics telephony network.
• Work on switch decommission projects related to the retiring TDM switch.
• Coordinate with a variety of internal departments.
• Engage with builders, building managers, property owners, and end users.
• Solve complex problems with innovative solutions in diverse topologies.
• Price out solutions and select the most effective, efficient design.
