Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking an experienced OSP Engineer. This role supports a long-term network modernization initiative focused on reconfiguring network facilities and transporting network architecture within a defined market. The engineer will be responsible for planning and executing facility-to-facility network migrations, reconnecting systems, and supporting legacy network shutdown and DS1–DS3 consolidation efforts

Experience
Experience of the Right Candidate:
- Strong hands-on experience with Outside Plant (OSP) network engineering
- Understanding of DS1–DS3 consolidation projects
- Experience reconfiguring network facilities and transporting network architecture within a market
- Familiarity with network planning and documentation tools such as:
- 3GIS for inventory planning
- KMZ / Google Maps for fiber route visualization
- Visio for internal network design and documentation
- Ability to design and troubleshoot both OSP and ISP network environments
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Reconfigure network facilities and support the transport of network architecture between locations.
- Plan and execute network migrations from one facility to another.
- Determine reconnection strategies to ensure service continuity
- Support legacy network shutdown initiatives and DS1–DS3 consolidation efforts.
- Design and document OSP and ISP network components, including building risers.
- Utilize 3GIS, KMZ mapping, and Visio for inventory planning and network documentation.
- Collaborate with a team of 10–12 engineers across onshore and offshore resources.
- Support evolving program needs as the initiative progresses beyond the POC phase.
