Job summary

Syringa-Networks-LL in Boise, Idaho is hiring Outside Plant Design Technicians. Multiple positions exist; level and payoff will depend on knowledge and experience. Primary duties include field-based OSP design, drawing and staking with Visio, and supporting project timelines.

Travel up to 20% and overtime may be required, including nights and weekends. Experience in telecom engineering, CAD/Visio proficiency, and familiarity with blueprints are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Outside Plant telecom engineering and construction (minimum 1 year).
• Field engineering and project lead experience desirable.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
• Familiarity with Idaho TD/UtahDOT blueprints and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create drawings and worksheets using Visio and other software.
• Understand Staking Sheets and blueprints; support field design.
• Work in accordance with industry standards; follow safety procedures.
• Prepare field notes; interpret buried/aerial telecom facilities.
• Enter and maintain outside plant records; support vendor relations.
• Participate in engineering, permitting and construction processes.
• Perform routine route maintenance and issue repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
