Job summary

Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to design broadband plant extensions and manage CAD/GIS workflows. You will produce detailed drawings, read walkout data, and update as-builts while upholding Cable One standards.

This role collaborates with Technical Operations, Construction, and Engineering to deliver accurate, cost-effective designs. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent and strong ESRI GIS and Schneider design software experience, with solid communication skills and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 5+ years in outside plant design or GIS preferred.
• Experience with ESRI GIS and Schneider design software per Cable One standards.
• Understanding of cable design and HFC/Fiber symbolology.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting and read walkout information.
• Update as-builts as construction completes.
• Provide complete construction build packets on time.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology.
• Create fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Ensure fiber availability and reinforcement requirements.
• Design major plant upgrades and redesigns.
• Prioritize multiple projects with accuracy.
