Job summary

Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to craft cost-effective broadband designs that meet Cable One standards. The role emphasizes CAD/GIS support, collaboration with engineering and operations, and updating project deliverables throughout construction.

The candidate will handle complex plant upgrades, design verification, and manage multiple projects with accuracy while learning new software and maintaining deliverables for timely builds across designated regions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 5+ years related experience.
• Experience in outside plant design, construction or GIS preferred.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting walkout information; strong design standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions within Cable One standards.
• 3.0
• Prepare base drafting and support detailed engineering drawings.
• 4.0
• Interpret walkout information and update as-builts after construction.
• Produce complete construction packets with design deliverables on time.
• Learn new software and adapt to evolving technology as required.
• Develop fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
