Job summary

ERG is seeking curious, detail-oriented analysts to support national occupational safety and health programs by analyzing real-world workplace injury and illness data. You will classify records using OIICS, draft clear incident narratives, and collaborate with a team from home.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with 0–5 years of experience and strong writing skills. This full-time, fully remote role offers flexibility to work from home or use a local office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, health/environmental science, mathematics/statistics, or a related field.
• Experience 0–5 years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Review workplace injury, illness, and fatality records and apply standardized case-classification codes using the BLS OIICS system.
• Draft brief incident narratives in plain, concise language.
• Manage multiple work queues and deadlines with high quality and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members and senior analysts for guidance and quality checks.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements over time.
