Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPC certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC, maintained annually.
• 5+ years pro-fee coding experience in Orthopedics and podiatry services.
• Intermediate Medicare guidelines knowledge and modifier application.
• Experience with Epic and handling denials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes for outpatient hospital professional accounts.
• Assigns CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Monitor work queues to ensure timely coding and charging.
