Job summary

Infinx is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to support the Coding department in accurate professional fee coding, edits resolution, and compliance. This remote, 90-day contract role focuses on onshore revenue cycle optimization, coding audits, and process improvements.

Requirements include CPC/CCS-P/CIC/COC/CRC credentials, 3+ years of professional coding experience (orthopedic and workers' comp a plus), and ECW proficiency. Strong attention to documentation and denial analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• Active credentials such as CPC, CCS-P, CIC, COC, or CRC aligned with role requirements.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional coding experience for both professional and facility services.
• Experience with orthopedic coding and workers' compensation is preferred.
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier assignment.
• Experience with EMR/EHR platforms, preferably ECW, and coding validation processes.
• Ability to review and resolve coding-related denials and denials trends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign and sequence ICD-10, CPT codes, and modifiers.
• Contact clients when documentation is insufficient or unclear for coding.
• Monitor regulatory and payer changes affecting coding practices.
• Research and resolve coding system edits, payer rejections, and denials.
• Identify trends to improve client policies and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes through education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
