CCOF is seeking a Handler Certification Specialist to certify organic Handler operations and guide new applicants, ensuring fair access to the certification process. This is a United States-based remote role reporting to Handler Certification leadership.

The position emphasizes regulatory compliance knowledge, strong communication, and meticulous data management to uphold organic integrity in the marketplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in food science, chemistry or related field; or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and database tools.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication; ability to explain certification requirements clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail; ability to organize, document, and improve processes.
• Critical thinking; ability to work autonomously and solve problems using available resources.
• Team-oriented; willing to collaborate and share responsibility for projects.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical services to certified organic processor/handler clients and communicate mid-year updates.
• Make autonomous or semi-autonomous compliance decisions with USDA NOP and other standards.
• Work on special projects as directed by leadership or director.
• Maintain accurate client database records within CCOF systems.
