Job summary

CCOF is seeking a Livestock Certification Supervisor to lead a team of Certification Specialists and oversee USDA NOP livestock standards and OPT Grass-Fed certification, ensuring consistent application of organic certification.

If you have 5+ years in organic livestock certification and strong leadership, you will mentor staff, develop efficiency tools, monitor updates, and support about 160 livestock clients while upholding organic integrity.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience as a CCOF Certification Specialist with leadership.
• Understanding of organic livestock standards including NOP regulations and accreditation.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Ability to navigate regulatory requirements and prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database programs.
• BA or BS in environmental science, agriculture, or related field, or 3 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the livestock certification staff.
• Develop tools and programs to improve efficiency and quality.
• Ensure quality control per CCOF Quality Manual.
• Host office hours to answer policy questions from staff.
• Address compliance issues for Livestock clients.
• Schedule livestock team meetings.
• Contribute to annual workplans and oversee projects.
• Monitor NOP updates and OPT Grass Fed regulations.
• Oversee OPT Grass-Fed Program and portal resources.
• Review livestock inspection reports and inbox items.
• Participate in hiring, training, and peer reviews.
• Represent CCOF at ACA trainings or trade shows.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally on projects.
